SKI racing seven-year-old Harry
Cosham has come away from three major championships in the North of England with a fistful of gold medals. Cosham, a
pupil at Wilberfoss Primary School, is now rated as one of the best Mini 1s in the country after eye-catching performances
in Manchester and Castleford. He started his run of success by winning the Slalom Minis in the Chill Factore Fun Summer
League Two in Manchester. That was followed up with two further gold medals – in the under-8s Giant Slalom at
the Yorkshire Championships in Castleford, and the Slalom Combined Minis 1 and 2 at the Telford Club National in Manchester
in which he won his age group and came fifth overall. For the second year running, Cosham junior has been invited to
train in August at the Race Ski Camp run by Olympic gold medal-winning Austrian skier Benni Raich. “I love ski
racing – it’s the best thing ever,” said Cosham. “It is just brilliant winning medals and being the

SEVEN-YEAR-OLD ski racer, Harry Cosham from York has sped away from three recent major
championships in the North of England with a fistful of gold medals. Harry, a pupil at Wilberfoss CE Primary School,
is now rated as one of the best Mini 1's in the country. He returned from two championships in Manchester and one
in Castleford having won two out of three slalom events and one giant slalom he entered. He started his run of success
by winning the Slalom Minis in the Chill Factore Fun Sumer League 2 held in Manchester earlier this month. He then followed
it up last weekend with two gold medals - the under-8s Giant Slalom at the Yorkshire Championships held in Castleford and
the Slalom Combined Minis 1 and 2 at the Telford Club National, Chill Factore in Manchester in which he won his age group
and came fifth overall. The youngster, trains twice a week at SZ Racing Club, Castleford under the watchful eye of his
coach and Dad, Lee Cosham, Head Race Coach for SNO!zone, Castleford. For the second year, Harry has been invited to
train at the prestigious Race Ski Camp in August run by Olympic gold medal winning Austrian skier, Benni Raich. "Harry
wants to get into the Great Britain "GB" team and for him to achieve his goal he needs to train with other up and
coming child skiers from all over Europe" said his Dad, Lee. "We now desperately need a sponsor to help Harry
get to these training camps and also to get to the European races". If anyone is willing to sponsor Harry we would
appreciate your help and he would wear your name on his ski jacket. "We are so grateful to SNOzone who already
donate slope time for Harry but he now needs more help to achieve his ambitions. Harry has been skiing since he was
18 months old and has now been joined by younger brother, Ralph (three) who has just taken to the slopes. "I love
ski racing - it's the best thing ever," said Harry. "It is just brilliant winning medals and being the
fastest I can be."

SEVEN-YEAR-OLD ski racer Harry Cosham from
York has topped some of the country’s young skiers at a national competition in Manchester bringing home gold and bronze
medals. A pupil at Wilberfoss Primary School, Cosham competed against young skiers from all over the UK at the Fun Summer
Race League held at Chill Factor in Manchester. He competed in three of the four races coming first and third overall.
The youngster recently attended an Austrian Ski Camp run by Olympic gold medallist Benni Raich for training. Said his
delighted mum, Lou Cosham: “This ski camp was very hard work with a high standard of physical training but it has paid
off for Harry. “Harry was overjoyed with his times and he was ahead of his nearest rival by 3.66 seconds.”
She added: “Sadly he only competed in three of the four events this time and so did extremely well to come away with
the bronze medal. “However, next year we are planning he will compete in the whole league and hope he comes top.”
Cosham received his medals from 2002 Olympic medallist, Alain Baxter, who congratulated the young skier from Shiptonthorpe
and wished him well with his future events. Baxter has been invited to do some training with SZ racing club, at SNO!zone
Castleford where Cosham trains twice a week. The Wilberfoss School pupil’s next ski race will be in the Scottish
homeland of Baxter when he competes in the Scottish Indoor Championships in Glasgow.

WILBERFOSS Primary School ski racer Harry Cosham has topped some of the country's young
skiers at Manchester bringing home a bronze and a gold medal. Harry seven competed against young skiers from all over
the UK at the fun Summer Race league held at Chill Factore in Manchester. He competed first and third overall.
He recently attended an Austrian Ski Camp run by Olympic Gold Medalist Benni Raich for training. "This ski camp

SEVEN-YEAR-OLD skiing sensation Harry Cosham is
heading for the slopes of Austria as his burgeoning career hits new peaks. The youngster has been invited to train
at the prestigious Race Ski Camp run by Olympic gold medal winning Austrian skier Benni Raich next month. Normally
skiers are only invited at the age of nine or above, but Cosham has been fast-tracked as he bids to win a place in the children’s
Great Britain team by the age of ten. The Wilberfoss Primary School pupil’s latest success was a gold medal
in a Chill Factore event in Manchester for winning the under-8 Mini 2 Slalom category.

piste hero Harry Cosham was in pole position last weekend with another gold medal victory. Harry aged, seven skied away
with the top prize in the under eight category of the mini two slalom event at Chill Factore, Manchester. The victory
came just seven months after the Wilberfoss Primary School pupil's triumph in the mini giant slalom competition in Scotland
where he also came away with gold. The youngster's mum Lou Cosham said: "You should have seen his little face,
it means so much to him." Harry, pictured above with his medal trains at the SZ Racing Club, Castleford every Saturday
afternoon and Tuesday night where his dad Lee Cosham is the head race coach. With both parents being ski instructors,
Harry has grown up with the sport and hit the slopes for the first time when he was just 18 months old. His next event
is at Manchester in September but in August Harry plans to travel to Austria for a Race Camp run by Olympic Gold Medalist

SIX-YEAR-OLD Harry Cosham is on a slippery slope to success.
The Wilberfoss Primary School pupil won gold at the mini giant slalom event at the Lecht Bairns 3 Race in Scotland.
Cosham’s medal was presented by Jan-Michael Kochalski, a member of the British Alpine Ski Team who won the same event
when he was six years old. The youngster’s overall time for the mini giant slalom beat 29 out of the 55 children
competing, whose ages ranged from six to ten. Cosham trains at the Sno!Zone Race Club in Castleford every Saturday and is
trained by his father, Lee, the club’s head race coach. Lou Cosham, Harry’s mum, said: “We are very
proud of Harry’s achievement at such a young age. Harry has been skiing since he was 18 months old and loves it.”
Cosham paraded his medal during assembly at Wilberfoss Primary School. If anyone is interested in sponsoring Cosham,

SKIING starlet is on the slippery slope to success after landing a gold medal. Harry Cosham, who is only six years old,
took to the piste in Scotland recently where he took part in the mini giant slalom competition. The Wilberfoss Primary
School youngster came first in the Lecht Bairns Three Race, where he was competing against a number of youngsters, some of
which were 10 year-olds. He was presented with the medal by Jan-Michael Kochalski from the British Alpine Ski Team,
who himself won the competition at the age of six. Harry is trained by his father, Lee every Saturday at the indoor
slope, SNO!zone in Castleford. Lee is an instructor at the facility. His mother Lou, said "Both me and my
husband are very proud of Harry's achievements at such a young age." " Harry has been skiing since he
was 18 months old and loves it." The youngster is now looking for sponsorship so he can continue to enter events.
